Introducing the Super Cute Year Old Lithops Plants, also known as Stone Plants, from South Africa. These adorable plants can be found growing among rocks or soil that matches the color of their succulent leaves. Unlike cacti, Lithops are succulents that store water in their fleshy leaves. These living stones are small in size and come in various species with different patterns and colors.
Specifications: - Pack of 10 Live Lithops Plants - Plant Size: One Year Old - Diameter: 0.4-0.5 Inch - Plants will be shipped bare root (unpotted) - Watering: Keep plants barely moist to avoid overwatering, which is the most common issue with Living Stones. During cold winter months, water lightly and infrequently until spring arrives. Generally, Lithops should be watered once every 2-3 weeks, excluding periods of active growth and flowering. Both tap water and distilled water are suitable.
Light: Lithops require full to very bright sunlight, either direct or indirect. While they can tolerate full strength sun, it's important to provide adequate shade and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during the hottest hours of the day. After repotting, allow the plant to acclimate to changes in light quality for 5-7 days. A window facing West, South, or East should provide sufficient light.
Soil: Use a well-draining soil mix, ideally one designed for cacti and succulents. Adding sand at a ratio of 60% soil mix to 40% sand by volume is recommended. Another suitable mix is 40% peat moss and 60% perlite for even faster drainage.
These Year Old Plants are perfect for starting your Lithops collection. Each plant has a diameter of 0.4-0.5 Inches. We guarantee a variety of rare live exotic Small Year Old Lithops plants.
Please note that different species and varieties of Lithops exhibit various colors and patterns on their leaves. Prior to purchase, kindly check the Plant Size as these are Year Old Plants. We ship the plants bare root, individually wrapped without soil.
Growing Lithops can be more challenging and requires additional attention compared to other succulent and cactus plants. Depending on the Lithop growing season, natural splitting or cracking may occur. Scarring on the sides or top of the plant is also natural and does not indicate illness. Lithops split and shed any scarring during this process. Occasionally, Lithops may die without any apparent reason.
