During the holiday season, a beautiful houseplant emerges, providing bright, colorful blooms that last for a long time. Succulent leaves extend from each other, forming stems and branches. Our hand-picked plants are carefully selected to ensure the highest quality possible. For safety reasons, the plant is shipped bare root. Christmas cacti thrive in indirect light and humid environments. Ideally, place your Christmas cactus by a north- or east-facing window, ensuring it is shielded from direct sunlight. These plants prefer soil with consistent moisture, unlike most other succulents. Water your Christmas cactus when the top inch or 2 of soil is dry. To ensure your Christmas cactus produces stunning blooms for the holidays, it needs regular, nutrient-rich feedings from the end of blooming until fall. This is crucial for storing enough energy to produce the next round of flowers. Propagation of the Christmas cactus is relatively simple. Take cuttings of one to four segments and let them dry in a cool, dry place for two to four days. Plant them an inch deep in new soil, preferably a mix of sand and peat. Water sparingly until roots or new growth appear, then resume regular watering.
